Funnel Cake




This donut will rid you of all the fat buns you've ever tasted... Its spiral shape means we don't get the taste of donuts that are well-plumped, plump, and saturated with cooking oil. They are crunchy and melt in the mouth...

* ingredients :

°1 egg
°15 cl of milk
°170gm sifted flour
°1 teaspoon baking powder
°30 grams powdered sugar
°3 tablespoons of powdered sugar + half a bag of vanilla sugar
°1/4 teaspoon salt
°frying oil

* Preparation:

Beat the egg in a bowl, gradually adding the milk.
Add the sifted flour, salt, icing sugar and baking powder.
Mix with an electric beater to obtain a homogeneous paste.
Heat the oil in a frying pan or skillet.
Pour the dough into a plastic bottle with a soft top (tomato sauce bottle style) or also the funnel of a special dough press (impossible to find ... grrrr) Fill the tank when needed.
Over the boiling oil, hold the bottle upright and make a continuous circular motion to form a spiral, the dough should fall into a smooth stream.

Let the spiral color and flip it over to brown on the other side. There is no set time, it passes very quickly (from one to two minutes). It all depends on the screw size and oil temperature.
Remove the coil with a skimmer and place it on absorbent paper to drain.
Sprinkle icing sugar while the coil is hot.
