This delicious baked tacos in your oven is perfect for get togethers, parties, weeknight dinners or anytime you are craving tacos! What makes this recipe over the top is that it has lots of flavor and none of the stress !!

- Ground beef: two lb

- Refried beans: one can

- Tomato sauce: one can

- Taco seasoning: one packet

- cheese: 1 oz, shredded

- Tortillas/taco shells: twelve

1. To start off the recipe, go ahead and buy taco shells in the store or make em yourself. I find it very useful to make them yourself, I promise you won't ever go back to purchasing taco shells. For the purpose, you need some tortillas and cooking spray. You'd best use some small, soft “taco” tortillas and the flour kind but corn is fine too.

2. You can then steam the by wetting some paper towels and wring them out well. Layer the tortillas with the wet paper towels on a plate and then microwave (we did 6 at a time). And please keep an eye on them until they are steamed, it takes around 30 seconds. After that, go ahead and spray each side lightly with cooking spray and drape each tortilla over two bars of the oven rack. I find it very useful to put a baking sheet below them to catch any oil from the cooking spray, and then bake at 350-375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes, or they are brown and crispy. Once taken out of the oven, make sure to set them aside!

3. You can now prepare the filling by bringing all ingredients together.

4. Then you're going to get a large skillet and brown in the ground beef. All grease needs to be drained COMPLETELY. Once drained, go ahead and return to skillet. You'll want to add, over low heat, refried beans, taco seasoning, and about half to two-thirds of the tomato sauce, being careful the filling is not too runny, because your tacos will be soggy on the bottoms ). Always remember to blend well and scoop into the tacos (which should be “standing” in a lightly greased casserole type dish). The last step is to sprinkle the cheese over the top and bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
